One interesting comment that we have heard from both reception hall managers and brides is that the DJ or band leader is the most important element in a reception. The band leader not only makes sure everyone has a great time, but makes the reception flow more smoothly. We have heard many hall managers comment that one fourth of the guests will leave a reception during each break. If the music is not well chosen from the start, many of the older guests who are unfamiliar with the sounds will leave immediately. A dj leader will neatly orchestrate the event so that nearly everyone is pleased by the music. He or she will also orchestrate the breaks in a way that causes your guests to stay around longer. This means either keeping the breaks very short, or rotating musicians out so the band never actually stops playing. A good band leader or singer won't just stand on the stage as if it were a performance, he will circulate with your guests and draw them into the entertainment. A good band leader will create the reception. --Cincinnatibrides.com

"Cincinnati dj Jack Garrett totally charmed our guests and created an exciting atmosphere of
Las Vegas style entertainment. He met with us beforehand to find out what kind of music each
of our guests liked, and set up a program that gave everyone something to relate to. The
response was more than we could have hoped for. Our guests are still talking about it!" --Larry and Tina B.
"Our guests went crazy--clapped and laughed and piled onto the dance floor and carried on like kids--and they weren't even drinking yet!" --Bill and Mary C.
"Jack Garrett made my reception. He turned it from what could have been a dull
party into a Hollywood spectacular. Everyone wanted to know where we found him!"--Jennifer and Jeff H.
